Betty Caroline Broughman Zimmerman, 92, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was born March 6, 1929 in Roanoke County, VA to the late John Peter Broughman and Beulah Denton Broughman.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Raleigh Memorial Park at a later date.
She is survived by her son, Tim Zimmerman and wife, Terry; grandchildren: Justin Zimmerman and wife, Lauren, Grant Lunsford and wife, Andrea, Lauren Pearce and husband, Marty, Aaron Lunsford and wife, Fran, Kaley Wilson and husband, Brian ; great-grandchildren: Ella, Sophia and Kenna Zimmerman, Caroline and Maclain Lunsford, Hudson, Addison and Grayson Pearce; son-in-law, Garry Lunsford.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Guy Zimmerman and daughter, Sherri Z. Lunsford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
