Dr. Gary Greene, age 73, passed away on July 1, 2021. He was born on April 28, 1948 in Gaston County, NC to the late Bobby and Willowdean Moss Greene.
He served in the United States Air Force for six years (serving in Turkey and at Myrtle Beach AFB, SC), and was a lifelong member of the VFW.
Dr. Greene received an AA in Accounting from Gaston College, a BA in Business and Economics from Belmont Abbey College, a MBA in Financial Management from The Citadel and an EDD in Business Technology from Mississippi State University.
He was a college professor serving in many colleges over his lifetime and retired from the State College of Florida as a Professor of Business. Dr. Greene was known as Dr. "G" by his students and he dedicated his life to educating others.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Greene; two children; and two grandchildren.
