Douglas Van Davidson of Merigold, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Douglas was born on July 6, 1957, he is the youngest child of William Holmes Davison and Lola Virginia Southern.

Growing up he attended Eliot Elementary school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and completed High School at Germantown High in Germantown, Tennessee. After graduation, he attended Christian Brothers College before going to work at Barrow Agee Labs in Memphis, Tennessee. After leaving Barrow Agee Labs he worked as a farmer in Holly Grove, Arkansas for a period of time before getting a Job at Delta State University as an Auto & Equipment Supervisor. When Douglas wasn't working he enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. He was baptized at 6 weeks old and attended services at the Presbyterian Church in Holly Grove.

Douglas is survived by his daughters; Jessie Cook and husband Jamie of Hollandale, MS, Virginia "Ginger" Davidson of Memphis, TN, grandchildren; Michael Allen and Thomas Holmes Cook, brother; Donald Davidson of Broken Arrow, OK, sister; Dede Wasemiller and husband Wayne of Oklahoma City, OK.

The memorial service will be Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Presbyterian Church in Holly Grove, AR, at 2:00 PM. The burial will be at Davidson Cemetery in Holly Grove.
