Billie Marie Brown, 77, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 16, 1943, in Levelland, Texas, to William N. and Helen Marie (Duff), Selby. On February 7, 1959, in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico, she married the love of her life, Eddie Barber Brown and together they shared over 51 beautiful years before he preceded her in death on July 2, 2010. Together they were both members of the First United Methodist Church of Ballinger. Billie worked as a nurse for both the Ballinger Hospital System and North Runnels. When she wasn't working she dedicated her life to taking care of her family and loved ones. Billie loved to camp, especially at the beach with her whole family. She was also an avid reader and loved to collect and organize all of her books.

Billie is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Brown, her parents William and Helen Selby, her brother Thomas Lee Selby, and her grandson Matt Harrison.

She is survived by her children Debra Rinn, and Bill Brown and his wife Gena of Ballinger. Billie is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Courtney Matschek and husband Scott, Robbye Kelley and husband Todd, Cole Rinn and wife Lorenda, William (Wes) Brown, Dylan Brown and wife, Meghan, Audrey Brown and Laura Brown. She will also be tenderly remembered by her great-grandchildren Emma and Zac Harrison, Addison Rinn, Madelyn Rinn, and Jaxon Rinn, Selby Kelly, as well as Tyler Matschek, Haley Matschek, and Trey Matschek. Billie is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and longtime family friend, Carla Bosma.

Visitation for Billie will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Lange Funeral Home. Her service will follow on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church with Tag Green and Lynn Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Talpa Cemetery.
