Audubon - On July 4, 2021, Thelma Lena Allen (nee Cerone), 84 years of Haddonfield, formerly of Audubon passed away peacefully at her daughter's home.

Thelma attended St. Monica's Parochial School in South Philly and then graduated from St. Rose School in 1950. She was also a 1954 graduate of Audubon High School where she played the French Horn piano and was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to work at Owens Corning Fiberglass as a secretary to the Plant Engineer and then at McGraw-Joseph Mortgage Company later in life.

Thelma was very proud of her Italian ancestry, spoke fluent Italian and made several trips to Italy. She was an avid reader, enjoyed Turner Classic Movies, cooking, singing, playing the piano and sitting on the beach. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and was the sole caretaker of her parents and grandparents until their passing. She had an infectious smile and was very kind and diplomatic - a very refined, classy lady.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband, John C. "Jack" Allen, her parents, Vincenzo and Rosa Cerone; her grandparents, Vincenzo and Fortunata Fava; her only sibling, Anthony Louis Cerone; her sister-in-law, Georgianna Donohugh; brother-in-laws, William Allen, Edward Allen, Theodore Allen and Robert Allen. She is lovingly survived by her two devoted daughters, Rose (Jeff) Patterson and Georgianna (George) Brennan and two loving granddaughters, Gianna Marie and Ava Rose; her brother-in-laws, Richard (Rose) Allen and George (Gerry) Allen; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and some cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ . Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
