Obituary of Samuel Rodriguez
We cherish the life, yet mourn the loss of Samuel Rodriguez, 67, of Haughton, LA, that left us too soon July 1, 2021.
Services in his honor will begin with a Visitation, between 12:30 – 2 pm; Funeral at 2 pm, followed by the Interment. All services will be held at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, LA, Thursday, July 8 2021. Samuel was born, November 8, 1953 to the proud parents, Edward and Rena Rodriguez in Melville, LA.
Young "Sammy" all but raised himself, along with the help of his older siblings, as both of his parents died while Sammy was still a very young man. While still quite young, Sammy began to carve-out his niche in life, by making his way up to Shreveport, LA and starting what became a successful Tree Service, as a Business Owner. Mr. Rodriguez was a very sociable man. Sammy loved large gatherings, boiling crawfish—for others, as he didn't eat it much, sharing a few beers with the family, and the roar of his old Harley Davidson.
Preceding Mr. Rodriguez in passing were: father Edward Rodriguez; mother, Rena Rodriguez; and siblings, Jake Rodriguez, Edrena Duvall, Willie Rodriguez, and Joe Rodriguez.
Left to cherish his memory are: sons, Samuel Rodriguez, Jr., Scotty (& Christina) Rodriguez, Bradley (& Starla) Rodriguez; and daughter, Jessica Rodriguez. Also left to carry on his legacy are: his siblings Earnest Rodriguez, Susie Worley, and Bobbie Gerbine; twelve grandchildren; along with many other extended family, friends, and business associates.
