Obituary

Susan Robinson
Monroe, Utah

Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, avoided admittance to "Shady Pines" by passing away peacefully at her home July 6, 2021. She was born March 2, 1951, and was beloved by her father, Mike Ashworth and mother Gayle Brotherson. Susan spent 47 years with the love of her life, Don R. Robinson Jr. They spent their life raising their family, building homes, traveling, camping, chasing down grandchildren and enjoying griping at one another now and then.

Susan was a friend to all who met her, making everyone feel special and loved. She had a boisterous laugh that will never be forgotten. She was naïve to much of the teasing from her children and grandchildren. She shared a special bond with her sister Peggy, with whom she spoke to daily.

She had a long career in banking, working for several financial institutions in various positions. She loved serving others and enjoyed serving in the temple and in her various callings. She enjoyed her time with the Primary children the most.

Her posterity meant the world to her. She loved all her children dearly but loved her grandchildren even more. She had a special connection with each one of her grandchildren, ones they will hold dear. She had a way of making other children feel like they belonged to her – she was Mama Susan or Grandma Susan to so many.

There is no way to fill the void she leaves behind. We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her dad Mike, and daughter Karen, whom she has missed greatly. She is survived by her eternal companion Don and 5 amazing children: Nannette Bush (Ken), Susie Taylor (Brian), Misty Goodwin (Rich), Cherri Jarvis (Patrick), Don (Lilly). Susan is also survived by her mother and siblings who will miss her laughter, her warm hugs, and the ability to tease her mercilessly. Anna Jensen (Dave), Peggy Gonshor (Dave), Mike Ashworth (Barbara), Ken Ashworth (Jan); brother-in-law, Don Wahlen. She is also preceded in death by her sister Kathy Wahlen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lake Ridge 1st Ward, 7960 Dalesend Drive, Magna, UT 84044. Friends may call Monday evening at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield from 6-7 p.m. or Wednesday morning from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the ward chapel in Magna. Burial will be in the Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com

The family thanks all who have called, brought hugs, blessed us with food and provided words of comfort at this time. We know our mom would be grateful for those who have watched over her precious family.
