He was born at Seneca, Missouri, on February 28, 1936, the son of William Sylvester and Martha Phydella (Gilbert) Hogan.
Bill grew up in Washington County, Arkansas, and was a 1954 graduate of Fayetteville High School, where he played bass horn in the FHS band.
He joined the U. S. Air Force after graduation and served in Japan and Korea.
He worked for many years in construction and demolition as an estimator in the Lincoln area.
He was a popular country musician and song writer; and owned Hogan Music Store in Lincoln in partnership with his mother.
Bill is survived by his wife, Maria (Silva) Hogan of the home; three sons, Richard Hogan, Michael Hogan and Patrick Hogan; a daughter, Teresa Hogan; two brothers, Joe Hogan and Jerry Hogan; a sister, Martha Hogan Estes; a half-brother, Jack Hogan; two half-sisters, Chrissie Hogan Barker and Margaret Hogan; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration Of Life will be held from 2:00 -4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Goshen United Methodist Church, Hiway 45, Goshen, Arkansas.
Inurnment to follow in the family plot at Zion Cemetery, south of Springdale, Arkansas.
