William Eugene Cline was the first born child of William Floyd Cline and Edna Gertrude Rogers Cline. He never liked his first name or any versions therof; preferring Eugene or Gene. He attended school at Elkhorn, Kington, and Shortcove (a small one room school) until he reached 8th grade when he had to quit and start working to help support his parents and four younger brothers. He was very close to his mother; and missed her much since her death.

He was drafted in 1959; attending boot camp at Ft. Chaffee in Fort Smith, AR. He was honorably discharged due to his health.

He worked building fences, cutting stave bolts with his Dad. He helped dig a over 30 foot deep well with his Dad. He was hired at Tysons as a feed mill worker, making the feed, after a few years he was promoted to Supervisor. He worked for 32 years and he retired.

He enjoyed hunting squirrels and fishing. Watching the Andy Griffith Show. Every night found him watching the news and reading his newspaper. In his later years he had someone read the newsppaer to him.

He was a member of Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Springale, AR. When he moved full time to Kingston, AR he attended Charity United Baptist Church in Boxley, AR. He took his relationship with the Lord very serious. Believing in prayer and having Faith.

After retirement he worked some for Harps Grocery in the produce section. He used is retirement years enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always brought a sparkle to his eyes when they were around him.

He married Ruby Jean Case on July 4, 1964 in Stillwell, OK. (When he passed he missed their 57th wedding anniversary by 2 days. ) Together they raised three sons in Tontitown, AR. His second son, Hunter Dewayne Cline passed away in 1985. Also preceeding him in death is three of his brothers: Cleburn, Raydean and Jimmy.

Surviving him is his sons; Michael Eugene Cline from Kingston, AR and Robert Floyd Cline and wife Rosa from Huntsville, AR. His grandchildren; Stephen Cline from Fayetteville, AR, Dr. Hanna Martin and husband Justin from Witter, AR, Abigail Hale and husband Joshua from Kingston, AR. Gideon Cline from Springdale, AR and Leviticus Cline of Springale, AR. And his two great grandchildren; Megan Martin of Witter,AR and Sebastian Hale of Kingston, AR. He has one brother surviving him Ilene Cline and wife Peggy of Centerton, AR.

He was a quiet man not talking very much, but when he did talk he had something to say or a wisecrack to make everyone grin. In his quiet ways he instilled in us, his family, how important finding the Lord and living the way God wants you to. The Matriarch of our family will be deeply missed by each of us. But we all know we'll see one another again in God's loving arms.
He was sick for a long time; living in pain every day. Ruby Jean with the help of their children kept him home up until the day before he passed then he was in Willard Walker Hospice where they could control his pain; Robert, Hanna, Justin and Abigail set up with him overnight; the next evening Ruby Jean, Hanna, Abigail and Justin were there when he took his last breath.
His funeral will be Saturday July 10th at Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville, AR. Visitation will be an hour before the funeral at Brashears; and funeral following at Friendship Cemetery, Springdale, AR

Eugene you'll forever be in our hearts and memories (like the one where you walked me down the ailse at my wedding and you said " I'm giving you away before I got you." ) I'm glad you are renited with the ones you've missed, and now feeling no pain. Waiting on the rest of us to rejoin you, to you will be a blinking of an eye. We love you,...
