Danny L. Lane, 63, of Russellville, passed away July 4, 2021, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He was of the Christian faith. He was a long-distance truck driver for many years, most recently, Morristown Logistics. He also and owned and operated Quality Heat and Air. He was a friend of many, a lifelong resident of Russellville and extended his kindness throughout our area by donating his time every month filling food baskets with a church in Grainger Co. and playing music for the residents at a nursing home in Dandridge. Danny was a musician and played in various local and area bands over the years. He had many interests but especially loved dogs and horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A. Charles and Joyce Lane.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Troy) Gilliam of Rogersville; grandchildren, Haley Gilliam, Shiane Gilliam of Rogersville; great-grandchild, Eli McCray; brother, Herb (Teresa) Lane of Yulee, FL; sisters, Peggy Lane and Patricia Lane of Russellville; girlfriend, Faye Johnson of Russellville; several cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

Special thanks to staff of Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. Danny's family encourages the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverend Bill Marks officiating. Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
