A native and resident of Livonia, he passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:35 am at his home at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Verdella LeBlanc Prejean; a daughter and son in law, Tammy Cates and husband Curtis; a son and daughter in law, Chad Prejean and wife Sheila; a brother, Herbert Prejean and wife Yvonne; grandchildren, Brady and Ashton Prejean, Kalin and Jarod Cates; great grandchild, Benjamin Prejean; uncle, Neal Bergeron. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo Prejean and Iris Bergeron. A visitation will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The interment will follow in the St. Frances Cabrini Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brady Prejean, Ashton Prejean, Jarod Cates, Kalin Cates, Charles Jordan, Don Disotell and Lil Buck Bergeron. Special thanks to Pointe Coupee Home Health and Hospice, especially Stephanie and Amanda.
