Obituary for Dorothy Elizabeth Lee
Dorothy Elizabeth (Hale) Lee passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2021. She was born to Asa and Madalyn (Cone) Hale on May 9, 1923 in Mexico, New York.

At an early age she went to live with her uncle and aunt, Edward and Mary Cope, in Wetumka, Oklahoma where she completed 4th through 12th grades. It was at the First Baptist Church of Wetumka where Dorothy was saved, baptized, and began a lifelong walk with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Dorothy married Seidel A. Lee on July 1, 1940. They moved from Oklahoma City to Richardson, Texas with their two daughters, Peggy and Jeanne, in 1956.

As an adult, Dorothy continued her walk with Christ by actively serving in church. She was a member of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson for 65 years where she enjoyed being a door greeter and had been a devoted Sunday School teacher.

Dorothy always loved to work and had a tremendous work ethic. She was an executive secretary at Ling Electric in Richardson until retirement, and subsequently went to work for H&R Block until she retired permanently at the age of 80. She loved to travel especially with her sister, Gladys, and her nephew, Roy Hunt, Jr., and she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Seidel, her sister, Gladys Killam, and her cousin, Claudine Tieman . She is survived by one brother, Bob Hale, and two daughters, Peggy (Edwin) Reynolds and Jeanne (Jack) Hamblett, Jr., five grandchildren, Michael (Marcela) Reynolds, Paula (Richard) Sloane, Philip Reynolds, Sharon Collie, Jack (Mandy) Hamblett, III, fifteen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be officiated by Dr. Gary Singleton.
Pallbearers: Michael Reynolds, Jack Hamblett, III, Campbell Turner, Carson Callaway, Sam Hamblett, and Ben Hamblett.
Honorary pallbearers are Philip Reynolds, Ryan Fletcher, and Hunter Morrow.
