Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John E. and Eunice Mae Rich.
John attended Redemption City Church in Philadelphia with his roommate, Charles Michel.
John proudly served as a volunteer firefighter.
In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with Charles and his dog Camden, going to volunteer fireman breakfasts, going to church gatherings and listening to his old-time music.
John will be dearly missed by his uncle, Walter Madison, many cousins, Charles and the Michel family, Shared Support South, Redemption City Church and his volunteer firefighter friends.
John's services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd, Warrington. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Warminster.
