COLD BROOK – Joseph F. Jenkins, 75, of Rose Valley Road, died unexpectedly on July 3, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Jenkins was born on June 11, 1946 in Herkimer, a son of the late Sherwood and Irene (Bates) Jenkins. He graduated from West Canada Valley Central School in 1964 and furthered his education at Herkimer County Community College. In 1965, he entered the U. S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969 at the rank of Corporal. Joe was last employed at Herb Philipson's Army and Navy Store, Herkimer, where he worked in the Firearms and Sporting Goods Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his brother and friends. Joe was a 29 year member of the Adirondack Post # 1118 American Legion, Cold Brook and a Life member of Middleville Memorial Post #7220 VFW.

Survivors include a brother, Robert (Geri) Jenkins of Poland; three sisters, Jean Davidson of Newport, Elizabeth (James) Norejko of Ithaca, and Donna Diaz of Texas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and close friends, A. J. Amacher and Roger Burns.

A graveside service will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland, New York.
