A woman who was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, Sandy loved people and everyone loved her. She had lots of friends that made her life full. She was a great conversationalist and could always be counted on to grab a cup of coffee and listen. Sandy was never judgmental and was positive and optimistic in everything. When grandchildren came along it came as no surprise that Sandy excelled at being a grandmother. It didn't matter to her that they lived in Oklahoma City, Sandy simply hit the turnpike. She was always there for birthdays or any other special occasion or event. Sandy wanted them to know just how much she loved them.
No story about Sandy would be complete without mentioning some of her favorite things. She enjoyed country music and dancing. When it came to football it didn't take you long to realize she was an avid Sooner fan, as well as a Dallas Cowboys fan. Animals were another huge part of Sandy's life. She was a real cat person. Sandy had her own cats as family pets. She worked countless hours rescuing cats and helping to rehome them. Working very closely with her friends at T-town TNR, Sandy's efforts will truly be missed.
This mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be missed by all who knew her. Sandy is survived by her daughters, Andrea Martin and Tracy Epperson, grandchildren, Brennan, Corey and Taylor Epperson, great grandchildren, Levi and Millie Gillentine, brother, Rick Bland, sisters, Nancy Hoyt and Carmalita Bland and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, N.R. Bland and sister, Phyllis Kirk.
