Vincent D. Tate, 68, of Kittanning, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2021, peacefully at his home.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1952, in Kittanning, Pa., to Vincent P. and Margaret M. "Peggy" (McMillen) Tate.

Vince loved his family and had a true appreciation of the beauty of nature. He also loved all animals, especially dogs. He was a 1970 graduate of Kittanning High School and received his Master's Degree in Education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Vince was a teacher for over 25 years. He started his career in Clearfield County but spent most of it teaching marketing and distribution at Lenape Technical School. He was an adjunct professor at Butler Community College, IUP, and Pitt, as well as being an avid reader, businessman, and author.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret M. "Peggy" Tate; companion, Carrie K. McEvoy and her son, Eric McEvoy; his sister, Sandra T. Saville and husband, Alvin; nephew, Brad Saville and wife, Clare; niece, Alison Moss and husband, Jeremy; great-nephew, Tate Moss; as well as his favorite aunts, Phyllis Adams and Dorothy McMillen; and several cousins.

Vince was preceded in death by his father.
