Jane May Cavanaugh Stoddard, 93, of Clifton Park, formerly of Scotia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1st , 2021 at home surrounded by her children and caregivers.

Born July 31st, 1927 in Schenectady Jane was the daughter of the late David and Grace Putnam of Burnt Hills.

In addition to her parents Jane is predeceased by her late husbands Chauncey Cavanaugh and David Stoddard, as well as sons John Anthony Cavanaugh and Michael Patrick Cavanaugh.

Jane attended Central Park Junior High School and Nott Terrace High School.

A majority of Jane's life was spent as a homemaker, In later years she worked as a salesclerk at David's in the former Mohawk Mall and was also a Child Care Provider locally.

Jane enjoyed her daily glass of wine and watching her favorite Law and Order shows. Her sweet and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her three children, Kathleen (Lon) Buchalski of Greensboro, GA, Brian Cavanaugh of Schenectady, and Patrick Cavanaugh of Clifton Park. Also survived by three grandchildren, Brooke Buchalski Riffe (Adam) of GA, and Grayson and Ava Cavanaugh of Clifton Park as well as two great-grandchildren Emerson and Aiden Riffe of GA.

A prayer service will take place with inurnment at Saratoga National Cemetery.
