Aaron "Marty" L. Martin, 43, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy, PA after a courageous 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Romney, West Virginia, Aaron had been a resident of the Ephrata area for the past 19 years.
Aaron loved his family more than anything else. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed entertaining family and friends and treating them to homemade barbecue. He also loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and often spent time listening to music by his firepit at home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Beth Ann (Gordis) Martin; five children: Aidan, Caeleigh, Tristyn, Skylyn, and Brianna; one sister, Shannon, wife of Jason Lambert; two nieces: Morgan Martin Donnellan, wife of Caleb Donnellan, and Lacey Lambert; one nephew, Landen Lambert; great-nephew, Mason Donnellan; great-niece, Whitleigh Donnellan; and step-father, Tim Shoemaker.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Amy Kay (Martin) Shoemaker and his grandmother, Freda Martin.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St. Ephrata, PA 17522 from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021. Memorial services will begin at 7:00 p.m.
