Funeral service for Mr. Aaron George Jennings, III, age 72, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hale and Jason Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Champ Cemetery.
George was born on November 1, 1948 in Lincoln County, TN to Ruth Towry Jennings and the late Aaron George Jennings, Jr. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Howell Hill Church of Christ. Mr. Jennings worked as a row crop farmer and OTR trucker. In his spare time he enjoyed flying small aircraft, attending auctions (in person and online), and collecting things that needed a little work. George married Catherine Ann McGehee on May 29, 1971 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He passed away on July 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife, three children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, George was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Jennings.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home.
