Jeffery Allen Smith, 35, of Stover, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, as the result of a motorcycle accident east of Stover. He was born on July 29, 1985, in Sedalia, Missouri, a son of Dennis and Bonnie (Twenter) Zurmiller.

His mother remarried and he was adopted by his step-father, Patrick Smith in 1994. In 2003, Jeff graduated from Stover High School. After graduation, he worked as a lube tech at Jim Dorman Chevrolet, as heat treat department manager for Gates in Versailles for twelve years, and most recently in sales and delivery at Paints Plus in Stover.

Jeff loved riding motorcycles, everything from a Hayabusa to Harley-Davidson, being outdoors, going to the lake, and being with his family and friends. He was a loyal member of the Rocktown Chapter of the Bush Pilots Motorcycle Club, where he gained his nickname "Biscuit".

He is survived by his son, Christopher "Max" Smith of the home; his mother, Bonnie Twenter of Stover; his father, Patrick Smith of Springfield; his step-mother, Rose Zurmiller of Jefferson City; his grandmother, Cecelia Twenter of Stover; three sisters, Ashley Zurmiller-Evans and Nick of Stover, Raven Himmerick and Dakotah of Stover, Christina Smith of Springfield; four brothers, Mike Smith and Kayla of Fulton, Brian Smith of Springfield, Josh Zurmiller and Lacy of Stover, and Dustin Henderson of Hastings, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his biological father, Dennis Zurmiller, and his grandparents, William Twenter and Verlin and Violet Zurmiller.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cole Camp with a prayer service to be held at 3:00 p.m. with Father Ben Nwosu officiating. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of the Bush Pilots Motorcycle Club.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or Stover Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, MO 65325.
