Kathy Janice Meeks Thompson, age 70, of Toccoa, went to meet Jesus on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at her home.
Born October 4, 1950 in Toccoa, GA; she was the daughter of the late Lewis Alvin and Ruth Paige Meeks.
She was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church. Kathy worked for Bosal Manufacturing, and earlier in her life for Stephens County Hospital as Respiratory Therapist, and Simply Southern Furniture.
Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Doug Moore of Toccoa; her special companion, Tommy Fields of Toccoa; brothers and sister-in-law, Jeffery and Ramona Meeks and Gary Meeks all of Toccoa; grandchildren, Whitney and Nathan Ramsey of Danielsville, GA, Brianna Moore, and Brayden Moore of Toccoa; great-grandchildren, Adalynn Ramsey and Bowen Ramsey; aunts, Jeanette Martin of Seneca, SC and Linda Williams of Mt. Juliet, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Old Toccoa Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd McCollum and the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.
Burial will follow at Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Stacy Gunn, Jonathan Wright, Nathan Ramsey, Calvin Meeks, and Michael Sosebee.
