Terry D. Sausman, age 79, a resident of Yuma, Arizona and formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. He was born on January 6, 1937 to the late Wilber and Dorothy (nee Carl) Sausman in Bremen, Indiana. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Otis, Indiana. He was a retired ironworker for Local 395, a member of the Porter Masonic Lodge 137, Orak Shriner of Michigan City and a member of the American Legion and VFW. Terry also volunteered at the Yuma Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona. He will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to those who knew him.He is survived by his wife Janice (nee Zula) of Yuma, Arizona; two sons, Terry A. (Linda) Sausman of Wanatah, and Todd A. (fiancée, Jaclyn Blitzstein) Sausman of Munster ; daughter, Robin (Chris) Moore of Porter; two grandchildren, William (Nicole) Moore and Casey Sausman; brother, Larry Sausman of Michigan City; two sisters, Ruth Else of Knox and Janyce Sausman of Florida and many other loving family members and friends.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Yuma Hospice Center, 1824 S. 8th Ave Yuma, Arizona 85364.A funeral service for Terry will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Paul Quanz officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
