Mark Wayne Hamer, 56, of Panama City Beach, FL, formerly of Morganton, passed away Friday December 2, 2011 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Mr. Hamer was born on August 9, 1955 in Douglas County, Oregon to the late William Reeves Hamer and Earlline Aldridge Hamer. He was a self employed painter.
Survivors include his companion of 27 years, Judy Rogers of Morganton; his son, Jonathan Hamer and wife Kentina of Morganton; his step-daughter, Julie Barlow and husband Brian of Morganton; one brother, John Hamer and wife Cindy of Morganton; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Lee Hamer, Hillary Barlow and Rick Barlow; and nieces and nephews, Nathan Hamer and Cara Hamer. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Calvary Assembly of God, Morganton. Officiating will be Dr. Mike Odom. Interment will follow in the Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 P.M. at Calvary Assembly of God, Morganton.
