Shannon M. Maxwell, 44, of Bloomsburg was called home to rest on Thursday, June 24, 2021, in York, where she had currently been residing. Born May 24, 1977, in Danville, she was the daughter of Solomon (stepfather) and Lucinda (Robbins) Maxwell, both deceased. Shannon was a graduate of Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech, where she studied cosmetology. She loved listening to music and singing to her children. She also liked to draw. You could always find her sketching or doodling something down. She enjoyed taking long walks just to listen to the sounds of nature. Proceeding Shannon in death were both her parents: biological father, James C. Maxwell, of West Virginia; fiancé, Terry L. Mordan, of Bloomsburg; maternal grandparents, John and Anna Mae Robbins, both of Bloomsburg; and paternal grandparents, John and Wanda Parks, both of Flemington, W.Va. Shannon leaves behind four beautiful young children: three daughters: Kiah, Kessa and Kayda Mordan; and a son, Kowen Mordan. She is also survived by her sister, Shana K. Glenny; brother, James C. Maxwell Jr. (Jay-J); sister, Katie A. Kennedy, and her husband, Jeremy; brother, Joel E. Maxwell; sister, Melissa A. Irwin, and her husband, David; and several nieces and nephews. Upon her wishes, no services will be held at this time. There will be a "Celebration of Life" ceremony held at a later date for family and friends who wish to attend.
