He was born June 9, 1933 in Pike County to the late Amil and Elsie Tackett Little.
Clayton was a retired educator, social worker and served for 21 years as state representative of the 93rd district.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Burma Jo Little, one brother, Donald Little, two sisters, Eloise Johnson and Sue Adams.
Clayton is survived by his wife of 59 years, Neva Jo Johnson Little, two sons, Larry Clayton (Leanna) Little of Long Fork, Jerry Neal (Susan) Little of Long Fork, and one brother, Jimmy Little of Myra. Five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Long Fork Old Regular Baptist Church with Gary Hampton and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Amil Little Memorial Cemetery at Virgie.
