Robert William Yeager, Sr.

Wednesday, April 15, 2020, Robert William Yeager, Sr. passed away at age 86. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bob was born to Winston and Ardis Yeager on Feb. 19, 1934 in Charleston, W. Va. He was a proud alumnus and supporter of the University of West Virginia, having graduated with a degree in Engineering. In 1955 he married his high school sweetheart, Billie Carol Griffith. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy before beginning a career in engineering and management, starting at Aladdin Industries and ending as President of Anchor Wire.

He was a sports fan, a tennis player, a woodworker, painter and musician. A man of many talents who could fix anything.

Survivors include his wife of almost 65 years, Billie, his three children, Robert W. Yeager Jr. (Sherry), Beth Williamson (Chuck) and Barbara Wilson (Mark); grandchildren Maggie Vossler (Dan), Mary Grace Distretti (Nick), Allen Wilson (Nikki), Trey Williamson (Lauren Jacoby), Carol Ann Wilson, Lauren Williamson; great grandchildren, Lewis Vossler, Lorraine Vossler and Charlotte Mae Distretti, brother, John Yeager and family (Edgewood, KY)

Interment at Calvary United Methodist Church with a small family service. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Calvary United Methodist Church or Room in the Inn.
