SHIRLEY ANN WEIERMAN DDS, 61, of Columbus, formerly of Lima, died at 3:35 p.m. July 10. 1999 in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was born June 27, 1938, in Lima to Edwin E. and Amy Frankhouser Weierman.

Her close friend and companion, Martha M. Thomas, survives in Columbus.

Dr. Weierman had worked as a dentist in Lima and Los Angeles. She also has worked as a radio and television host and as a real estate broker. She was a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown N.Y., as one of the youngest female professional baseball players, and she was also a member of the YWCA Women's Sports Hall of Fame, Lima. She was a 1956 graduate of Lima Senior High School. In 1963 she graduated from The Ohio State University, Columbus, with a bachelor's degree and a degree in dentistry. She attended the law school at UCLA.

Survivors also include a brother Edwin J. (Reathel) Weierman of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara E. Long.

Services were held at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Funeral Home. The Rev. Hap Itson officiated. Buried was made in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio
