Kathleen Raney Brown, 96, of Faith,went to be with her Lord on, July 3, 2021, at Trinity Oaks Assisted Living in Salisbury.

She was born March 26, 1925, in Salisbury, NC to James Walter "Babe" Raney and Daisy Troutman Raney. She was a 1942 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and completed a secretarial business degree at Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, NC. She was the secretary at Faith Elementary School for over 30 years.

She was a member and past president of the Faith Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star #317 in Rockwell.

Kathleen was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church in Faith where she had been a member of the handbell choir, the Women's group, and taught Sunday school for over 30 years. She also volunteered for Dial Help, the Rowan Hospital, and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed the TLC Group, canasta, gardening, canning, cooking, working in her flowers, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cecil Brown, in 1999.

Those left to cherish her memory included her two children, Kathy Ketchie (Pastor Bill) of Salisbury and Keith Brown (Judy) of Mint Hill; her four grandchildren: Christine Lampkin (Tom), Stephen Brown (Megan), Bill Ketchie (Rebecca), and Stacey Quigg (Justin); and her eleven great-grandchildren: Cayden Caivano, Kathryn, Matthew, and Emma Lampkin, Christopher, Andrew, and Elizabeth Ketchie, Jacob and Nolan Brown, and Caroline and Alexander Quigg. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jean Raney Deaton (Bob) of Winston-Salem and Judy Raney Hampton of Faith.

The family gives special thanks to the wonderful staff at Trinity Oaks Assisted Living for their care and love for her for the past three years. We also thank the Trellis Supportive Care Team for the great care given to her during the final weeks of her life.

Arrangements: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 7, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at Faith Lutheran Church's Gathering Room followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor Rob Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
