Donald J. Prince, Sr., of Antigo, died Monday, December 7, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 89 years old. He was born on November 13, 1931, in Pickerel, a son of Theodore and Elizabeth (Chack) Prince. He married Gerda Torgerson on July 22, 1950 in Elcho. She preceded him in death in February of 1975.

Donald owned and operated Prince Brother's Trucking for 48 years.

He moved to Spearfish, South Dakota. He returned to Antigo in 2017.

He was a member of the Langlade County Trap Club, the NRA, the Armature Trap Shooters Association, and the Spearfish Rifle and Trap Club.

Donald was an avid trap shooter, loved pheasant, goose, and deer hunting, fishing, and visiting with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an accomplished pilot.

Survivors include his wife, Sharyl of Casper, WY; five daughters, Brenda (Roy) Kuschel of Birmanwood, Susan (Joe) Kirsch of Summit Lake, Julie Prince of Antigo, Mary (Marc) Kourouma of Mechanicsville, MD, and Kathy (Gary) Waldvogel of Antigo; three sons, Lawrence (Peggy) Prince of Antigo, Donald (Cheri) Prince Jr. of Plover and Walter Prince of Canyon Lake, TX; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat (Dave) Wensel of Bryant; a brother, Harold Prince of Antigo; and a sister-in-law, Mae Prince of Antigo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ken; and four brothers, Richard, David, Michael, and James.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 10 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Cemetery with Reverend Charles Hoffmann officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Jack Lake.
