Joseph "Joe" L. McVay, age 76, passed away May 18, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mearl and Edith McVay; 5 sisters, and 1 brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cindy (Shepardson); 4 children, Patricia (David) Taylor, Joseph (Dee) McVay II, Brandi (Tim) Gentry, and Samantha McVay; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Joe was a landscaper for Maschmeyer's Nursery for 46 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Speedway Post #500. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care , 5791 Rockville Rd.
