She was born in Battle Creek Michigan to Oscar and Lois McVay. She graduated from Petoskey High school. In 1975 she married Allen Lawson.
She was active in the Presbyterian church, and state and local politics. Jenny worked for many years at the Par-t-pack in Boyne city.
Jennifer is survived by her sister Jean Kimball, children Brandon(Brandy) Billings, Vicki(Ryp) Hankins, and Jaimie(Traci) Lawson. As well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Lawson and daughter Jodi Brown.
Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Boyne City on July 16th 2021 at 11am .
