Tommy's life always revolved around his family. Tommy was one of eight siblings and grew up in Dallas, Georgia. There he helped develop the first shopping center with his brothers and he made many lifelong friends in Paulding County that he loved and traveled the world with. Tommy met his wife Neil Davis Butler at Butler Tire in Marietta, Georgia. It's safe to say Neil got a new set of wheels that day… They married and lived in Marietta, Georgia with their one and only daughter Nicole.
After having grandchildren Tommy left Georgia for his most loved and important endeavor, being Papa Tommy. To list all things Pappa Tommy loved and enjoyed would take volumes, Nascar, golf, fishing, cooking, especially eating, and Jack Daniels. Papa Tommy was such a lover of life and enjoyed what he was doing virtually every moment whether it was going 110 mph on a snowmobile in Alaska or riding on his lawnmower in Roebuck. His greatest love was his family and his friends.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Neil D. Butler; daughter, Nicole Butler Belue; son inlaw, Derrick Belue; two beloved grandsons, Davis and Perry; and a great granddaughter, Adalynn. Tommy was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred, Herb, Joe, LD, Kenny; and sister, Doris. Bonnie Butler Pate is his last remaining sibling.
A celebration of life is being planned for Saturday July 17, in Spartanburg, SC at the Creek Golf Course.
