Mrs. Walker was born January 24, 1946, in Asheboro, the daughter of Cecil W. Story and Mary Slack Story.
Cecelia was a Special Education Teacher's Assistant. A former Sunday School teacher, she was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Rev. Calvin "Mitchell" Walker, one daughter: Terri Chaney of Lawrenceville, GA and four sons: Dennis (Kim) Walker, Scott (Sherry) Walker, and Andy (Jennifer) Walker all of Asheboro, NC and Matt Walker of San Diego, CA,, three sisters: Lurlene Millikan and Tina (Harold) Hopkins both of Asheboro, NC, and Lynn (Pat) Walker of Cary, NC, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Linda Baldwin and brother, Larry Story.
The funeral will be Wednesday, July 7th at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Jeff Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Grays Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklinville. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Pugh Funeral Home,
