Carole loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, but she also kept in touch with far away family-siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts. Carole was fortunate to be a stay at home mom to her 3 boys, occasionally working part time jobs. One of her favorites was as an aide at an elementary school near her home in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Carole loved children and for years following her time at the school she would receive hugs and hellos from the kids who remembered her.
Carole and Dan enjoyed retirement-traveling, relaxing at home together and spending time with friends. Five years ago they made the move from Cheyenne to Meridian, Idaho. True to form, Carole made friends with her new neighbors and enjoyed all of the extra time with her family. People were a priority for Carole. She would stop whatever she was doing to visit. She always had a smile and a warm greeting for whoever she saw-whether stranger or friend. Carole is survived by her husband, Dan; her three sons, Bob (Michelle), Tom, and Ben (Dori); her four grandchildren, Rebecca, Brandon, Rayce and Carmen; her brothers and sister and countless nieces, nephews, and friends who felt like family.
Carole was sweet, loving, and appreciative of all the good things life has to give. She loved babies, dogs, taking walks, and having fun with her people. She enjoyed the simple things life had to offer-a contentment and joy in the present. Her determined spirit meant that she did whatever needed to be done and her devotion to her family never wavered. We loved her very much and will miss her until we see her again in heaven. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to an animal shelter in Carole's honor.
