Harry James Lewis , age 76, Quincy, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10:35 pm in Blessing Hospital.

Harry was born July 2, 1944 in Lagrange, Missouri, the son of Leo and Eleanora Juanita Mae Dade Lewis. He and the love of his life, Marcia Gille Lewis, had been together since 1977. She survives.

Harry worked at Gardner-Denver for 11 years. As a 14 year member of Local 919, he also worked for many different construction companies in the area. In 2009, Harry retired after 17 years working for the City of Quincy. He was baptized at the Green Chapel Church in LaGrange, MO. In his spare time, Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, most of all his grandchildren whom he loved more than words can say.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Marcia, include: four children, Harry E. Lewis of Newton, IA, James D. Lewis of California, Collette Green of Quincy, and Colleen Berry also of Quincy; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Loretta Lewis and Victoria Lewis, both of Quincy; a brother, George Dade of Quincy; three aunts, Rosemary Lewis of LaGrange, MO, Carmalita Watkins of Quincy, and Virginia Dade of LaGrange, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Harry was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Micheal Berry; two brothers, Leo L. Lewis, Jr., and Mark E. Lewis; and two sisters, Juanita M. Lewis, and Alice D. Bell.

Services: Graveside services will be held at 12:15 pm, Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Marissa Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the family in care of Marcia Lewis.
