Janet Lynch Simmons, 62 of Alvord, TX went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 2nd, 2021.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13th at the First United Methodist Church in Alvord, TX, with Rev. Bill Cleveland and Rev. Carol Sparks officiating.
Burial will follow at New Harp Cemetery in Forestburg, TX.
Janet was born August 3rd, 1958 in Decatur to Billy Jack and Dorothy Jane (Hudson) Lynch. She graduated from Alvord High School in 1976, where she was very active in sports and participated numerous activities. Janet had a huge sense of community in Alvord, she loved the people and was well loved in return, and always enjoyed spending time with her childhood friends.
Janet was married to her high school sweetheart, Cary Simmons for over 35 years. She dedicated herself to being a mother, raising 3 children, all while working as a dental assistant for many years. She made a point to always be there for her children, attending sporting events, cheering them on. Janet loved to travel, especially to the mountains.
Family and friends will remember Janet for her fun loving, silly and slightly sarcastic personality, and as someone who you just wanted to be around. She will forever be appreciated for the many sacrifices she made for her family, as a loving daughter, mother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandsons Treyton Simmons and Brogan Hamilton, great-grandson Grady Chavana; her Pappy and Mimi, Fred Hudson Sr. and Ruth Hudson, and her Granddaddy and Granny, Tex Lynch and Nell Lynch.
Janet is survived by her children Kaysi Hamilton and husband Randy of Alvord, Kallie Simmons and Ash Marburger of Chico, TX, and Adam Simmons and wife Amanda of Springtown, TX; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; brothers Bobby Lynch of Bowie and Billy Lynch and wife Cindy of Sunset, TX; 1 nephew; 3 nieces; and many close friends.
