Joe served our country in the United States Navy and retired from the US Postal service after 24 years of service. He was an avid Nascar fan. He enjoyed boating and lived on the lake for over 30 years. He was a Mason with the Camp Creek Masonic Lodge for over 60 years and was also a longtime member of the Jackson Shrine Club where he served on the cook team. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Mr. Morris is survived by a daughter, Julie Middleton and her husband, Tommy; a son, Joey Morris and his wife, Janice; a sister, Marcene Plyler and her husband, Harris; six grandchildren, Joseph Morris (Tristian), Alicia Morris, Ryan Middleton, Cameron Middleton (Gaby), Jonathan Rivers and Jay Rivers; and a great granddaughter, Blakely Morris.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, William "Bus" Morris, Ben Morris, and Max Morris.
