Katherine was born in Kent County, MI on December 1, 1947, the daughter of George Schultz and Lela (Adams) Schultz. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School. On May 27, 1967 she married Allen Thompson. They Celebrated 54 years of marriage together before Allen's passing on June 1, 2021.
Kathy worked many places including: JcPenney's in Alma, Total Petroleum Refinery, and Verizon. She enjoyed baking, puzzles, and crocheting. Kathy loved spending time with her granddaughters. She was a member of the Vestaburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her son Brian Thompson, granddaughters: Mychale Thompson, Keiragh Thompson, and Tierney Thompson, brothers: George and Mary Jo Schultz, and Mike and Marsha Schultz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Errin Thompson, 2 sisters: Kathleen and Nancy.
