Bethany Ann Clark, 69, passed away on July 1, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Indianola.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Bethany will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

Bethany was born July 7, 1951, in Creston, Iowa to James and Lois (Boswell) Rice.

She lived in several towns throughout Iowa prior to moving to Des Moines in 2007.

Bethany received her Bachelor's Degree from Buena Vista University.

She retired from Promise Jobs, a division of the Iowa Work Force Development that offers supportive services to individuals as they prepare to become a part of or better themselves in the workforce.

Bethany enjoyed reading, crocheting, classic cars, anything chocolate, and most importantly being with her family.

Bethany is survived by her children, Adam (Jorge) Clark-Tan and Megan (Stephen) Montalvo; grandson, Axel Clark-Tan; siblings, Renee (Ron) Squires, William Curtis (Lisa) Rice, Angela (Lee) Navin and Andrea (Pat) Cass; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Christopher Miller.
