SANDRA'S OBITUARY

Sandra Eldora Faye Larson, passed away, on June 29, 2021, at Sanford Hospital, in Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10:00 AM., at Johnson Funeral Service, in Thief River Falls, MN., with Reverend Wesley Langaas Officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, at Newfolden, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Sandra Eldora Faye Garfve, was born on February 19, 1942, at Newfolden, MN., daughter of Eddy Anderson and Bella Garfve. She was baptized at her home in Newfolden, on June 11, 1944, and confirmed at Westaker Church. She attended school in Newfolden and received her GED, in 2001.

On December 31, 1958, she was united in marriage, to Stanley Larson, at Newfolden, MN. To this union, 2 children were born: Steven and Scott. They moved to Minneapolis for a short time and moved back to the farm near Newfolden, in 1962. The family moved to Red Lake Falls, in 1966. The couple divorced in 1982.

She met Dewain Lappegaard and Samantha was born, in 1983. They resided in Goodridge, Holt, Middle River and Newfolden. Sandra took care of Dewain, the last 7 years of his life.

Sandra enjoyed clipping newspaper articles, camping, fishing and deer hunting, spending time outside, collecting nick knacks, traveling with her grandchildren. Sandra always had a four-legged friend and loved her animals. She made great potato dumplings and would share them with everyone. The holidays were special to her, especially the Fourth of July and Christmas, and had a good time Yul bucking. She was passionate about the color of Purple, enjoyed butterflies and bird houses.

Sandra is survived by her three children: Steven (Joyce) Larson of Newfolden, MN., Scott Larson of Red Lake Falls, MN., and Samantha Lappegaard of Sanborn, MN.; grandchildren: Hannah, Sadie, Molly and Jesse Larson, ShyAnn Larson, Preston, and Shylie Moen, Aeriel, Eva, and Delaney Turbes; great-grandchildren: Colton, Keziah, Amahra, Axton, and Amelia; sister Barb (Ronnie) Benke of Newfolden, MN., and sister-in-law, Joan Garfve of Alpena, SD.; several nieces and nephews.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; special friend, Dewain Lappegaard; and ex-husband, Stanley Larson; siblings, Helen Garfve, Mable Garfve, Phyllis Garfve, Ruby Gillund, Rosemary Vaunios, Harlan Garfve and Maynard Garfve; along with many of her fury friends, especially Lady Bug, her last dog.
