Clifford Lee Collins, 77 of Holden, WV departed this life Monday, June 28, 2021, at Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born April 2, 1944, at Mt. Gay, WV to the late Don and Sonia (Zornes) Collins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Thompson, brother, Earl Frances Collins, granddaughter, Jamie Roeher, and great-granddaughter, Scarlett Collins.

Clifford was a retired Master Sargent in the US Army serving for 21 years. He was a member of the Yuma Church of Christ and was formerly a JROTC Instructor in Logan County. Additionally, Clifford was a preacher and spent many years ministering to the community.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Collins; daughters, Pam Roeher and Stephanie Farris; sons, Richard (Michelle) Collins and Steven (Alecia) Collins; grandchildren, Sarah Gilks, Brad (Katie) Roeher, Jared (Summer) Farris, Ricky (Megan) Collins, and Nichole (Jon) Murray; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his beloved Yorkies, April May and Daisey May.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Collins officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville.
