Diana Joyce Wright, 75, of Weston, MO, passed away June 28, 2021 in Bartlesville, OK.

Joyce was born June 1, 1946 in Columbia, MO, to Wilfred Stuart and Avalon Vinette (Moore) Craig. She grew up in Ames, IA, and graduated from Ames High School in 1964. She attended beauty school, as well as Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO, where she was studying to be a home economics teacher. This is where she met the love of her life, Edward Wright, who swept her off her feet and into the military wife lifestyle. They were married in 1968, in Columbia, MO, and were soon sent to Germany where Ed was stationed.

After returning to the States, Ed and Joyce made their home in Weston in 1970 where they lived for over 45 years. Joyce was a licensed cosmetologist and operated an in-home beauty shop until retiring in 2011. She had a wonderful set of clients and developed lifelong friendships. She was a member of the Weston Jaycees, the Weston United Methodist Church, and a devoted community member. Joyce loved antique dolls, furniture, and depression glass, and had quite a collection. She enjoyed singing in church and being a part of the Weston Homes Tours. Joyce was known for her love of giving, her unique and classic gift giving and her love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ed.

Joyce is survived by her brother Maurice Craig of Las Cruces, NM, brother Philip Craig of Columbia, MO, her son James Wright of Platte City, son Jason Wright of Weston, daughter Jennifer (Wright) Rigdon and son in law Jerod Rigdon of Caney, KS. Grandkids Abbey Wright, Brady Wright, Kole Rigdon, Bryleigh Rigdon and Thane Rigdon.

A memorial service will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home, Weston, MO, with a visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Weston, MO.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be given to the United Methodist Church of Weston.
