Pat was born November 12, 1949, at Wamego, the son of Lyman M. and Arlene Philomena (Bernritter) Ellis. Pat grew up in the Maple Hill and St. Marys communities. He graduated from St. Marys High School in 1967. He was a member of the Kansas Air National Guard. Pat graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma.
Pat moved to Long Beach, CA in 1977 and lived there until his death. He worked for Belmont Productions, Universal Productions. He last worked for Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a brother, Robert "Robbie" (Kitty) Ellis, Prattville, AL; two sisters, Kathy Fritts, Topeka and Kelly Krueger, Olpe; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Belvue. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
