Billie Marie Brooks
Billie Marie Brooks, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2021. Billie was born April 6, 1939, in Mena, Arkansas to A. D. and Dovie Risenhoover. Billie grew up with her two sisters Peggy and Margie and their younger brother Robert. Billie's family moved from Arkansas to California when she was 15 years old. After high school Billie worked as a Bank Teller. Billie married Donald L. Brooks on March 8, 1958. They moved their family to Idaho in 1971. Billie was a loving wife and mother. She was a stay-at-home mom, dairyman/rancher, Hyster driver at Ore Ida, grandma, great grandma and an active member in her Church, Bowmont Church of the brethren, as well as the Brethren Church Camp, Camp Wilbur Stover. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Don, father, mother, and niece Susan Kirby. She is survived by daughter Linda (Keith) Goering; sons Shawn (Becky) Brooks, and Steven (Alison) Brooks; grandchildren Winston Goering, Eric Goering, Rosa Goering Scott, Donny Brooks, John Rucker, Jale' Brooks De La Paz (Demetrio), Anthony Brooks and Chelsie Brooks; great grandchildren Ember, Cambri, Ellie, Rhett and Demi Rose; along with several nieces and nephews. A graveside will be held in the Lower Boise Cemetery near Parma at 11:00 am on Friday July 2nd. A celebration of her life will be held directly after at the Bowmont Church of the brethren.
