She was BORN 9/12/1908, the daughter of M/M. Rhodes Estell. Married Carl A. McKinney. She was a graduate of Baylor Univ. and the Univ. of Houston. She taught 1st grade in Houston Independent School District for a number of years. Active in Second Baptist Church of Houston. Preceded in death by husband and a son, Gerald Hugh McKinney, also a brother, Hugh Estell of Rockdale, in 1977.
