Johnny Grant Reid, 60, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 24, 1960 to John Grant Reid and Dorothy (Baker) Reid-Danner in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Johnny's family moved to Tecumseh in 1973 where he was raised and attend Tecumseh Public Schools.
He proudly served his country for 12 years in the National Guard Reserves.
Johnny married Kathryn Anne Rose on December 8, 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He worked for Shawnee Milling Company in Shawnee and retired after 20 plus years of service.
He loved antique cars, vintage steel and working on and restoring cars, especially his pride and joy his 1955 GMC truck. Johnny enjoyed the outdoors, going camping and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Grant Reid; and grandparents, John and Jan Reid.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Reid of the home; daughter, Melissa Lomeli & Justin of Shawnee; son, John Grant Reid and Amanda of Shawnee; grandchildren, Jordan, Megan and Gage Lomeli and Mason and Thomas Reid; his mother, Dorothy Reid-Danner of Tecumseh; brothers, Steven Reid of Bridge Creek and Danny Reid and Tabitha of Yukon; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021 at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling, OK with Pastor Mike Collyer, Pink Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
