Sheila Ann Carter 66 of Indianapolis, passed from this life on Saturday June 26, 2021, at her residence. She was born on Sunday June 19, 1955, in Indianapolis to Howard and Ruby Carter. Sheila was a housemother and cared for many children in her home. Many of those children still refer to her as grandma.

Sheila is survived by her son Christopher (Heather Abney) Carter of Indianapolis and a daughter Angelic Roser of Mooresville, a brother Jimmy Carter of Indianapolis and a sister Terri Carter of Indianapolis. Several grand and great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Ruby Carter, a daughter Tina Carter, four brothers Russell, Rick, Don Carter, and David Ellis and four sisters Brenda Carson, Sue Emory, Rhonda, and Sandy Carter.

A Celebration of her life will be held Thursday July 8th, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Indiana Memorial Funeral Care 3562 West 10th Street in Indianapolis.
