Ryan M. Hughes, 25, of Lincoln, passed away June 26, 2021 in a single vehicle accident on I-80 near mile marker 422. He was born November 18, 1995 in Norfolk, NE to parents, Mike and Diane Hughes.
Ryan graduated from Northstar High School in the class of 2014 and went to Southeast Community College where he studied to become a Radiology Technologist. He started his career with Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA where he worked as a CT Technologist. Ryan had a deep passion to care for people. Ryan enjoyed motocross, bicycling, golfing, gaming and spending time with his girlfriend, Liz and their dogs, family and friends. He had an adventurous spirit that loved to travel whether it be mountains to hike or oceans to scuba dive, he always soaked in the experiences. Ryan's infectious laugh and smile brought joy to anyone around him. He had a tenacious spirit and determination to accomplish anything he set out to do.
Ryan is survived by his Parents, Mike & Diane Hughes; Girlfriend, Elizabeth Hixson; Grandmothers, Janice Hughes and Virginia Yendra; Aunts and Uncles, Les Lee & Tracy McGee, Rick Yendra, Deb & Gary Zinnel, and Terry & Pat Yendra; Cousins, Jessica Zoubek, Andrew, Cody and Jon Yendra, Chelsea Oliver, Jabriel, Heath, and Alease Zinnel, Tiffany Redfern, Ashley Dack and Jamie Yendra; many other family & friends.
He was preceded in death by Grandfathers, Maurice "Morrie" Hughes and LaVern "Bud" Yendra; Uncle, Leon Robeson.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, July 6th in Gibbon, NE.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon, NE.
