Kathryn Lee Hood, daughter of the late Thomas Clark and Rosie (Rector) Clark was born April 27, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on June 29, 2021 in Piedmont, Missouri. She had attained the age of seventy years, two months and two days.

Kathryn had lived in Piedmont, Missouri for the past twenty-three years and was formerly of Van Buren, Missouri. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, playing poker on her hand-held gaming device, and taking care of her grandchildren. Kathryn was loving, strong willed, a little ornery, loved her family, and sometimes though she was whispering, but everyone in the room could hear her.

In 1969, she was united in marriage to Wesley Dean Ruddicks, he preceded her in death on August 5, 1998.

Kathryn is survived by two sons, Larry Ruddicks and wife Dee of California and James Shurman Ruddicks II of Garwood, MO; two daughters, Teresa Davidson and husband Earl of Ellsinore, MO. and Deanna Corona of Poplar Bluff, MO; two brothers, Kenny Hall and Cloy McDaniels; two sisters, Becky Taylor and Shelly Peak; fourteen grandchildren, Selena Phelps, Teresa Ambrocio, Crystal Reed, Wesley Ruddicks, Josh Corona, Armado Corona, Heather Evans, Tiffany Kuntz, Jacob Walberg, Mila Ruddicks, Tammie Ruddicks, Lisa Ruddicks, Marcus Ruddicks and Owen Ruddicks; sixteen great-grandchildren and many family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Ruddicks and Joshua Ruddicks; three brothers, Thomas Clark, Donnie Alfred and John Clark; three sisters, Wanda Clark, Donna Barbosa and Alta Hall.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, MO. with the Funeral Services being held at 1:00 p.m.in the Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Darrel Davis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Houses Creek Cemetery in Van Buren, MO.
