Betty Jane Christiopherson "BJ", of Watertown, Wisconsin, passed on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Betty was born on February 23, 1936, the youngest daughter of Frank and Martha (nee Badciong) Filut in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her family then later moved to Pewaukee and she graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1953.

On July 2nd, 1953 she married Air Force First Class Airman Paul Henderson, who was stationed in Riverside, CA. They had four children.

On May 25th, 1968, she married Calvin Christopherson where they lived in New Berlin and on Lake Beulah in East Troy. Later in retirement, she and Cal were also residents of Marco Island, Florida.

Her family included: Her son, Mark Christopherson (Sue) and his son Brian Christopherson (Mandi) and their children……and his son Kevin Christopherson (Julie) and their children…..; her son Doug Christopherson (Barbara); Michael Christopherson, and Debbie Koch (Tony).

She is survived by: her brother-in-law Jack Kunkel and her nieces: Karen Redzinski (Victor), Bonnie Hoeppner (Robert), Sharon Seeger (Jim), Linda Steltenpohl (Gerry), Sandy Rappold (Tom), Susie….. many relatives and friends Frank and Mary.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael Christopherson, sisters: Florence Krause (Albert), Marilyn Kunkel, Delores (Raymond) Eagan, brother: Robert Filut and nephews: Todd Eagan, Tim Eagan.

Family was very important to Betty. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, canning, singing and playing the organ. She loved hosting fun family gatherings which always somehow included a sing along, often with Betty playing the organ and singing hymns and crazy songs alike.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 4 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Burial will be at 11 AM Friday at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Pewaukee.
